Blogging is a very important part of owning and operating your own website. It allows you to publish fresh content on a regular basis to keep your visitors informed and up-to-date. Doodlekit provides you with advanced tools and features to help you run and maintain your blog to the best of your abilities with the least amount of effort. Some of the advanced blogging features and tools that Doodlekit provides for you are:

Tags: Tags tie your blog post to words or word phrases that explains the general topic of your blog. Many of your blog post may have some of the same tags. This allows people to search through all your blog posts for general topics. For instance, you might create tags like: reviews, daily tip, hot deals, vacation, business, art, etc. You can add as many tags as you want to a blog post.

Overrides: You can override many of the default features of your blog for special posts. You can override who the author of the post is (in case you have a guest blogger) and customize what site their name links to. You can also override the date of the post to a later date so it will not show till then.

Auto Entry Preview: Doodlekit automatically creates a preview of your blog post for you on your blog post preview page. It uses the first 400 letters of your blog post in combination with a thumb image of the first image in your blog post. You can override these defaults with your own custom content and image if you want.

SEO: Doodlekit provides advanced Search Engine Optimization options for each blog post. You can override the default page meta-data (title, keywords, and description) with your own custom title, keywords and description. That way you can optimize each blog post for specific search words and phrases.

Social Media: Each blog post has the option to turn on social media icons to help readers spread the word about your latest post.
